Role: Senior Tax Accountant  

Location: Southfield, MI  

Salary: $90k - $110k

What You'll Do

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you'll be a key member of our tax department, responsible for:

• Tax Preparation and Review: You will prepare and review a variety of complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and flow-through entities.
• Client Relationships: You will build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients by understanding their business and providing exceptional service.
• Technical Application: You will use your technical expertise to perform tax research, identify planning opportunities, and apply tax laws and regulations to client situations.
• Mentorship: You will provide guidance and support to junior team members, helping them develop their skills and grow professionally.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent; a Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.
• CPA certification or Enrolled Agent credential is required.
• 3-5 years of tax experience in public accounting.
• Experience in corporate, flow-through entity, and individual federal and state taxation.
• Strong tax research skills.
• The ability to compose clear, professional written advice.
• Experience with tax planning and a capacity to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tax software like Axcess Tax, as well as research databases such as CCH or Checkpoint.
