Job Description

A K-12 school in Roanoke, VA is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a contract position lasting the entire school year. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations, including cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional assessments
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and formulate support strategies
• Deliver professional development and training to staff on psychological best practices and intervention techniques
• Maintain detailed and confidential records of assessments and services provided

Desired Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
• Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
• Experience working with K-12 populations in educational environments
• Strong knowledge of assessment tools, educational laws (IDEA, Section 504), and intervention strategies
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage caseload efficiently and prioritize to meet deadlines
