Job Description

A school psychologist is sought for a full academic year contract position serving a high school setting in Wilmington, DE. This role involves providing comprehensive psychological services to support students' academic, emotional, social, and behavioral needs within the educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments and interpret evaluation results to guide interventions and supports.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
• Offer counseling and crisis intervention to students to address mental health concerns and facilitate healthy development.
• Analyze student data to monitor progress and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Provide consultation and training to school staff on best practices for supporting diverse learners.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to special education and psychological services.

Desired Qualifications:

• Masters or doctoral degree in school psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid state certification or licensure as a school psychologist.
• Experience working in secondary education settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
