Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the industry, is seeking a Machine/Equipment Operator to join their team. As a Machine/Equipment Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machine/Equipment Operator

Location: Newburyport, MA

Pay Range: $22.00/hr - $23.25/hr depending on shift

Shifts : 
1st Shift (7AM–3PM): $22.00/hr
2nd Shift (3PM–11PM): $22.75/hr 
3rd Shift (11PM–7AM): +$23.25/hr

What's the Job?

• Operate, set up, and maintain machines that mix chemicals, apply coatings, and emboss holographic images.
• Perform machine changeovers per job order and operate rewinding machines.
• Conduct product quality checks and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures.
• Lift materials up to 60 lbs as needed and operate forklifts/fork trucks.
• Record production run quantities and perform quality control checks on products and materials.

What's Needed?

• Experience in manufacturing, ideally in machine operation (non-CNC).
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
• Background in paper mills, print shops, or facilities with large machinery is preferred.
• Ability to work various shifts: 1st Shift (7AM–3PM), 2nd Shift (3PM–11PM), or 3rd Shift (11PM–7AM).
