Job Description
Seeking to hire an Industrial Electrician for a direct hire opportunity in Golden Valley, MN (first shift) . Our client is a global manufacturer, developer, and distributor of technology-driven sensing and control solutions. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing electrical systems on production equipment. This role will ensure that all machinery is operating efficiently, with minimal downtime, to support production schedules and company goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing electrical problems in industrial equipment, following safety protocols, and working collaboratively with other maintenance and production teams.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical components of production machinery and equipment
· Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, including PLCs, motors, sensors, and wiring
· Perform regular preventative maintenance to ensure machinery uptime and optimal performance
· Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
· Install, upgrade, and modify electrical systems as necessary to improve machine performance or safety
· Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to troubleshoot and solve complex equipment issues
· Follow safety guidelines and company protocols for lockout/tagout, electrical work, and equipment operation
· Maintain accurate records of all electrical repairs, replacements, and maintenance performed
· Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment performance and reliability
· Assist in the planning and implementation of new equipment installations and modifications
· Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal impact on production schedules
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Job Requirements:
· Journeyman Electrical License valid in Minnesota (MUST HAVE)
· 3+ years of experience as an industrial or machine services electrician
· In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and machinery and professional experience working with PLCs, VFDs, and HMI systems (MUST HAVE)
· Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
· Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, including OSHA and NFPA standards
· Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call as required
· Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills
· Familiarity with production environments and equipment such as CNC machines, conveyors, presses, and packaging systems
